ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Roman Kimball, a creative from New Hartford, New York. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication. I have always tried to communicate and tell stories with the utmost authenticity, always showcasing every detail possible to make projects exude power, hierarchy, attention to detail, and have an outstanding impact on the viewer.

In my time at South Carolina, I was on the baseball team. Being a student-athlete is an extremely hard challenge. Having to manage practices, games, and workouts with projects, classes, and studying was extremely difficult and required excellent time management, along a drive to want to succeed both in the classroom and on the field. I have dealt with a lot of adversity both on and off the field. But, having this adversity has made me work harder, made me more determined, and has shaped me into the person I am today.

In the fall of my sophomore season, I tore the ulnar collateral ligament in my pitching elbow and had to undergo Tommy John surgery which is a season ending procedure that would sideline me for up to 16 months. This was obviously extremely difficult for me. Being sidelined from the game I love for that long could have put me into a psychological hole I was unable to get out of. Instead, I used it to come back stronger. And in that time, I fell in love with creating content, and used that time to tell powerful stories through the eye of a lens.
