LIVING WITH THE SCAR

Living With The Scar is a photo essay about former Gamecock Right Handed pitcher Michael Polk. This photo essay tells a story about the everyday grind of Polk's recovery from Tommy John surgery. Polk underwent surgery at the end of his senior season at the University of Georgia. He transferred to South Carolina as a graduate student in 2023 and was rehabbing for all of the fall and most of the preseason. This surgery comes with many ups and downs and requires extreme hard work, dedication, and perseverance. With that, Polk always tried to make the people around him smile, even though he was going through an extremely physically and mentally draining everyday challenge. That is the type of person he is. Even though things may be tough for him, he is always going to support his teammates and be himself, unfazed by the long road to recovery that lies ahead. Polk would go on to make his Gamecock debut during the 2024 season.

AIR JORDAN

With this product shoot, I wanted to capture the tiny details of these shoes to coincide with the message of Michael Jordan’s brand. Jordan always worked extremely hard on his craft while also striving for excellence. Jordan’s mindset as a player translated to his brand. This has helped make it into one of the most well known brands in the world. To him, every little detail mattered, just like his preparation. These shoes represent Jordan’s work ethic sewn into every stitch.

Gamecock Baseball Women's clinic

These journalistic action photos are from the 2025 Gamecock Baseball Ladies Clinic. This event is hosted every year by the Gamecock Baseball Team for women of all ages to come to Founders Park and have the experience of participating in activities that the players do everyday. Getting a good amount of photos at this event was hard because there were so many things going on all at once. But, being able to photograph this event and convey the ladies emotions through the camera was super exciting.
